Semlow Chiropractic Doctors

The Semlow Chiropractic of Macomb team consists of Dr. Kent Semlow who received his degree in Chiropractic from Palmer Chiropractic College.

Dr. Semlow was born in Peoria, Illinois, the second largest city of Illinois in 1959. In 1977 I graduated from Peoria High and attended Ferris State in Big Rapids, Michigan. I then went on to Illinois Central College in East Peoria and Scott Community College in Bettendorf, Iowa; it was then that my pre-chiropractic studies were completed. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and in March 1986 I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

My reasons for becoming a chiropractor are numerous. My father, mother and brother had all suffered from different medical problems and the only treatment that had given them relief was through chiropractic care. My mother had suffered from a muscular wasting disease in her legs where she was instructed to go to the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. At these clinics she was unfortunately told that she would be restricted to a wheelchair for the rest of her life, this being the ‘best’ they could do for her. She would not accept this, but with chiropractic care she was able to walk up until her death which was 24 years later.

I come from a large family of Chiropractors. I became the fourth family member to accomplish my degree and am now proud to say that we have nine chiropractors in our family. We have offices in Macomb, Troy, Norton Shores, Fremont and Grand Haven.
